Every good blogger needs a good introduction if they want a good blog. This would be that introduction.
My name is R.J. I’m a senior here at Austin Peay and I’m majoring in Corporate Communications. Along with that, I am pursuing a double minor in Leadership and General Business. I was born and raised right here in Clarksvegas, TN and have grown up in and around the campus of APSU.
When it comes to being on campus, there are tons of activities and organizations that I’ve had the privilege to work with. I’ve been a member of both social and academic fraternities. I’m a member of the Presidential Emerging Leaders Program, which is a scholarship program that I encourage everyone to look into. I’m an Orientation Assistant and a Peer Mentor for our APSU 1000 program; so, if you come to Austin Peay as a brand new freshman, you’ll probably be seeing a lot of me. If you come for a tour of the university, as a Govs Ambassador, you may have me as a tour guide. Finally, I was recently elected Vice-President of Student Government.
Outside of school, I’m a full-time assistant coach for the girls’ soccer team at my old high school. I’m a huge entertainment fan: music, movies, and tv. I’m one of those kids that likes going to school…but, hopefully, you’ll understand why by reading this blog and won’t think I’m just a dork.
